Business Trip

I'll be in the San Francisco Bay area from the evening of Tuesday, 30 November, to Sunday, 5 December, around 3pm.

I may or may not have independent transportation. It depends.

Recommendations on places in SFO that rent to us kids under 25 but over 21 would be gratefully accepted. It's looking like Enterprise rental is going to be the ticket for me, but with a $80 surcharge because I'm "only" 23, it doesn't sound very cool.

And I'll have my cell with me if any of you happen to be in the area. +1-248-379-7826

  1. if its a business trip, can't you get something booked thru your company? Barring that, you have a good relationship with your parents or someone that would do the reservation for you?

    1. It's not who rents it, it's who drives it. That'd work technically, but since you list drivers on the rental and if any are under 25 most charge a surcharge for each "underage" driver, if they even allow you to list them, there would be no excuse for anything if I got pulled over or someone rear ended me or something, and they found I was driving rather than someone listed on the form. They'd have no mercy.

  2. I agree if I were in the city. It's a beautiful place, and a car would be a damn hinderance. But I'll be spending the majority of my time in the San Mateo/Foster City area. The buses there stop in the early evening, and I'm like 2 miles walk from caltrain, so when I'm out of work, I'll be damn bored.

  3. That's kinda what I was thinking, but they close at like 6pm, and I get in around 10. I'll probably just take a shuttle to the hotel when I get in, and grab a rental the next day during lunch or something. What kind of prices does rent-a-wreck charge for a small commuter car?
