Damn, another busy week…

Yea, it's mostly work. That's my life guys. 😛

+ Second DS3 card on switch at work. Yay for extra redundancy, extra capacity, and card diversity for critical circuits.
+ DS3 mux in a colo. Yay for super cheap transport and facilities.
+ Major moving operations are complete. This weekend I will take a shovel to the remaining trash, vacuum and steam clean.
+ Cerent! This weekend we'll also be hacking the password on one so I can make with the vt 1.5/DS1 cross connecty goodness.
+ 2007 Express Work Van. That's not a picture of ours, but ours does look just like that sans ladder rack. We're getting ladder racks, blinky lights, road cones, all that shit.
+ Hung out with this week, and ran into and hung out a bit too. Yay for almost having a social life!

-Locked out of cerent because the previous owner sold us the TCC+ cards without resetting the passwords. Grr. Password procedure involves plugging a cable made of unobtanium and level shifters onto the system board while it's booting and interrupting the vxworks bootloader. Good times.
– Need badly to get alignment fixed on our van.
– Fixed someone's laptop for them (swap failing hard disk with brand new model). Gave it to them. Drive crashed HARD 6 hours after they picked it up. God Damnit.

Overall mood: happy

I'm tired.

I finally got around to doing something today that was requested in march. It was a single script to send an email with a list of new exchanges in michigan once a month.

(also, 248-574 represent!)

I should have the old house finished tomorrow (YES WE ARE STILL WORKING ON IT BELIEVE IT OR NOT THERE WAS A LOT OF SHIT IN THERE OMG)

A lot of good things happened at work today and yesterday. I feel we have accomplished much in the last 2-3 days.

I hurt. I feel sore, I feel tired, I feel dead.

I can't wait to sleep most of the weekend.

Only then will I feel truly recombobulated.

I'll be fine though, no worries about Paul.

Since I need to make an update but just don't have the time….

Oh, and at some point this week, my power got shut off. Bastards at DTE claim they never got the transfer of service I filed online. Obviously, the previous owner didn't feel like paying for my power bill (and I can't blame him!).

Whatever. DTE claimed it would be the 14th at the earliest until they could restore power.

But yet I type this right now.

Having an occupation where you have the Michigan Public Service Commission in your browser favorites BY DEFAULT when you get a new computer means always knowing who to call. 2 hours after they shut my power off, it was back on.

So much more craziness to talk about. So little time.

I still haven't gotten a full 8 hours of sleep this month. Tonight MAY BE THE NIGHT for such things!!!!!!!!!!!

Goddamn I need to mow my lawn this weekend.
